Kate Bosworth
Biography
Kate Bosworth was born on 2nd January 1983 to hal Bosworth an executive and Patricia potter AT Los Angeles California. She grew up along the east coast and often had to move around from place to place due to the nature of her fathers work. She spent most of her youth in Darien, Connecticut and Cohasset, Massachusetts. Due to frequent moving around and relocations she could not attend one school steadily and never had a group of friends making her a lonely and shy girl. She was born with heterochromic disorder, which made one of her eyes hazel and another blue.
Kate Bosworth was also into lot of sports activities and played soccer and lacrosse. She was also into competitive horse racing and became a champion equestrian. It was this, which eventually got her first role in the film “Horse Whisperer”. With her All-American look and charming screen presence she waltzed her way at a mere age of fourteen to showcase her talents in the teen drama, The WB's "Young Americans” in the year 2000.
Her horse riding talents landed her a role in the film “Horse Whisperer”. She just sent in her credentials with a Christmas photo and had actually applied for the role to merely get audition experience but ended up doing the role. She got critical acclaim for her performance and it kick started her acting career. Not wanting to miss out the high school fun she took a break for 18 months and came back to the film industry with a bang announcing her entry with two back-to-back films The Newcomers and Remember The Titans. In 2001 she moved in to Los Angeles to gain easier access to auditions and chances. In 2002 she got her first leading role in the movie “blue crush”. She worked out for months with two separate trainers, one for muscle building and other for stamina building and added fifteen pounds of muscle to make her look like a proper surfer. She even had a spill that left her unconscious during film shooting and she ha a cat scan. But she met the challenge head on and the film good a strong opening and went on to cross 42 million$. She now had a whole new fan base and got her nominations for reakthrough Female and Best On-Screen Team categories in the yearly MTV awards. In the next three years she starred in a number of films like beyond the sea, win a date and bee season. In Maxim’s 100 sexiest women in the world she was ranked #38 and #8 for the years 2005 and 2006.
Her biggest catch came after several rounds of audition and, screen tests she bet several top actress to play Lois lane the love interest of super man in the ultra big budget “Superman returns”. Her future projects include December 21 and a “psychological” drama “A Girl in the Park”.
She dated Orlando bloom for 4 years from 2002-2006 but separated with out unclear reasons. She is currently dating model James Rousseau.
